Abstract: The paper is a synthesis on a topic that concerns Approximation Theory. We refer to the construction of some approximation processes using q-Calculus. At first we recall the fundamental elements of q-Calculus and then we focus on the presentation of special discrete-type operators sequences using this theory. The main characteristics of the new constructions are highlighted.

Keywords: positive linear operators, q-Calculus, rate of convergence, approximation process.
