Abstract. Despite the pressure to move away from fossil fuels, oil will remain an important resource for some time to come. Analyzing sustainability in oil use and energy generation is a complex subject, as oil is, by definition, an unsustainable resource. Sustainability in this context therefore means the strategic management of resources so that their use is compatible with climate goals. Moreover, true sustainability is closely linked to renewable sources, but there are challenges and issues to be managed in this area as well. Of course, in the case of renewable energy, sustainability does not only mean that the resource is inexhaustible, but also that its use has a minimal impact on the environment and society. This analysis shows that the transition from oil to renewable is not only a technical issue, but also one of vision, ethics and long-term sustainability. Obviously, every aspect is interconnected, and progress in the field of renewable energy requires not only scientific innovation, but also a paradigm shift at a social and spiritual level. Keywords: oil, renewable, transition, energy, social, spiritual, sustainable. DOI 10.56082/annalsarscieng.2026.2.57 Read full article 1Associate Professor PhD. Eng.
