Abstract. This paper addresses the limitations of traditional Parts Per Million (PPM) metrics in assessing supplier quality performance within the high-complexity automotive electronics sector. It proposes a comprehensive, multi-dimensional evaluation framework that integrates advanced quality parameters, risk management indicators, operational metrics, and continuous improvement capabilities. By extending supplier evaluation beyond basic defect rates, the framework enables automotive manufacturers to gain deeper operational insights, mitigate supply chain risks, and foster strategic long-term supplier partnerships in an increasingly automated and software-driven industry.
