IMPACT OF DIGITAL MATURITY ON QUALITY PROCESS PERFORMANCE: AN INTEGRATED QUALITY ENGINEERING APPROACH

Abstract. This paper examines the impact of digital maturity on quality process performance through an integrated quality engineering approach. Drawing on digital maturity models and quality management literature, it analyses how levels of digitalization influence key quality outcomes such as process traceability, real-time monitoring capabilities, and continuous improvement effectiveness. The study proposes a conceptual framework linking digital maturity stages to quality performance indicators, while addressing risks across processes, people, and technology domains. Maturity assessments emerge as diagnostic tools for planning digital quality transformations. Future research directions emphasize artificial intelligence and predictive analytics for proactive quality management, offering organizations a methodological foundation to evaluate and enhance quality processes in digital contexts.
