Abstract. This article is structured around the principles of KAIZEN and the way they can be applied within a knowledge-based organization to improve activities and reduce waste in its processes. The main concepts of the KAIZEN philosophy are presented, including continuous improvement, waste elimination, process orientation, and employee involvement in improving working methods. The case study focuses on a technical and commercial process, namely the quotation process, within a company operating in the field of industrial automation.
