A COGNITIVE MODEL FOR ANALYSING AND MONITORING TEAM PERFORMANCE IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT: PART 2

Abstract. The increasing complexity of projects and the diversification of team members’ responsibilities demonstrate the need for tools that support performance monitoring beyond the traditional indicators used in project management. Building on the Cognitive Load Index conceptual model defined at an earlier stage of the research, this article proposes the development of a software prototype for monitoring team members’ cognitive load. The prototype was developed in Figma and includes functionalities for managing projects and teams, assessing cognitive variables, automatically calculating the CLI and displaying the results in an interactive dashboard. The article also presents the application design process, the definition of functional and non-functional requirements, and the structure of the main interfaces and user flows. The results show that the conceptual model can be translated into a software solution, providing a basis for developing a functional application that supports project managers in monitoring cognitive load and making decisions about team management.
