Abstract. The results of the study presented in this paper support the main interventions directions of the ECO Nexus project (feasibility tools, digital data integration tools, matchmaking platforms) in response to the needs expressed by Romanian organisations. The preliminary stage was carried out in two rounds, between March and June 2026, with a comparative analysis of the 25 participants. The results show a constant pro-circular orientation, the items related to digitalization and competitiveness, on a 5-point scale, remain above 4.0. As the sample diversified, perceptions regarding cost reduction through industrial symbiosis moderated. The digital divide is persistent; the current constant level of digitalization (average 3.08) is exceeded by the interest shown for integrated digital dashboards (average 3.48). The main need for support (56% of respondents) is access to financing, and the following needs (each with 32%) are: feasibility analysis, matchmaking and technical training. Keywords: ECO Nexus, industrial symbiosis, circular economy maturity, digital readiness, sustainable innovation DOI 10.56082/annalsarscieng.2026.2.144 Read full article 1Prof., Ph.D., Eng., Faculty of Management in Production and Transportation, Politehnica University of Timisoara, Management Department, 14 Remus Street, Timisoara, Romania, (larisa.ivascu@upt.ro); Academy of Romanian Scientists, 3 Ilfov, 050044, Bucharest, Romania. 2Assoc.
