Abstract. Integrating advanced medical technologies (AMTs) offers great potential to improve healthcare delivery but presents significant implementation challenges. This study examines barriers to the adoption of AMTs and proposes strategies for successful integration. A comprehensive literature review identifies common issues, including high upfront costs, limited technical expertise, interoperability problems, and resistance to change. Qualitative data gathered through semi-structured interviews with healthcare administrators, clinicians, and IT professionals provides insights into their experiences with AMT implementation. The results show that effective strategies include thorough needs assessments, financial planning, user training, interdisciplinary collaboration, and change management. Strong leadership support, clear communication, and ongoing evaluation are also crucial. This research offers a practical framework for healthcare organisations to overcome implementation barriers and effectively leverage the benefits of AMTs, including improved diagnostic accuracy, better patient outcomes, and increased operational efficiency.
