Abstract: This paper is dedicated to presenting the scientific and human profile of Liliana Restuccia, Full Professor of Mathematical Physics at the University of Messina since 2002, Deputy Director of the Class of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences at the Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti of Messina, Founder and President of the Adelina Georgescu Mathesis Association of Messina, promoting the teaching and dissemination of mathematics, physics and science. Liliana is recognized for having organized numerous international conferences and published significant contributions on a wide diversity of topics, including: non-linear wave propagation, non-equilibrium thermody- namics with internal variables of magnetizable, polarizable, piezoelec- tric media, semiconductors, superlattices, graded systems and thermal metamaterials with defects, Type-II superconductors at high Tc.
