Remark: This journal does not charge APCs or submission charges. Two issues are published every year, starting with 2009, both in electronic [on-line ISSN 2067 – 5682, Open Acces] and printed [ISSN 2066 – 8597] form. REVIEWING PROCESS In every case the author[s] will be informed about the decision. Duration of review process: Annals of the Academy of Romanian Scientists series on History and Archaeology Sciences has an Open Access policy: all content is freely available without charge to the user or his / her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. No submission or processing fees are required and the copyright remains the property of the authors. The ethics and malpractice statement This text is an ethics and malpractice statement of the journal Annals. Series on History and Archaeology, published by the Historical Sciences and Archaeology Section of the Academy of Romanian Scientists. At the bottom of the first page, the papers must mention the scientific degree of the author and the institution wherehe [she] is currently working. The author commits to fully comply with the ethics and malpractice standards and with the legislation on copyright. The submissions must be original, representing the authors’ own contribution, without being susceptible to plagiarism. The Annals encourage the submission of manuscripts based on original research that are judged to make a novel and important contribution to understanding the field the Annals deal with. The main criterion for judging the acceptability of a manuscript is its novelty and scientific interest and the publication decision will be taken via a peer review process. Manuscripts that are found to have infringed the copyright of a third party / from a manuscript by other authors, be it published or not, will incur plagiarism sanctions. Bibliographical sources must be indicated in accordance with the rules approved by the Romanian Academy. The coordinator of the issue and the series editor-in-chief shall ensure that plagiarism or any illegal appropriation of other authors’ work is not allowed. The papers already published in the same language in other publications will not be admitted, unless in exceptional cases approved by the coordinator of the issue and the series editor-in-chief. The papers that will be sent to this journal have not to be previously submitted for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts that are found to be under review elsewhere, will incur duplicate submission sanctions. In the case of studies with multiple authors, the consent of each of them is needed for publication. The manuscripts will be peer reviewed by the specialists indicated by the editorial board. The review will be based exclusively on the manuscript’s content. The sources of the financial support provided for research purposes and for the drafting of the manuscript – grants, scholarships, etc. – must be included in a footnote, on the first page. The editorial board takes no responsibility for the views of the authors or the errors in the text. |
